Dark Night In Luton 26.9.2013

Another great night had, and a telling off for playing later than usual!! After 10.30pm, I ended up just add-libing the last couple of hours which would account the style of music, but then if you wanted more goth or industrial, then you should of been there ;p !

Dark Night In Luton - September Saturnalia (Part 1) 5.9.2013

I promised you a raucous evening, and that what exactly those in attendance got!

Yes, I'm happy to admit the night was very much musically self absorbed, although I had written the set with a few people in mind (all of whom ...never actually turned up!!), but after a few afternoon drinks, I was more up for the night than ever. A good early support encouraged me further, and apart from a bit of a drop around 10pm, thanks to plenty of passing trade, I was still playing away at full speed at 12am!

So thanks very very much to all those that supported the night, and helped make the night a pleasure to play. Hope to see you all next week!

Dark Night In Luton 29.8.2013

Well, apart from the pun of this weeks poster (Dark (K)Night - get it?) You probably wouldn't of noticed that it was any kind of a Batman themed event!

So, another slightly intimate night (yet again) but still an enjoyable one, even if the garden did claim the majority of people for most of the night!

Not sure why we didn't get more out for the new NIN material, and again why we can get support... in from Stevenage and even Peterborough, and yet such a lame support from Luton people!

Regardless, those that did venture had a cool time, and so did I, so NURR :p

Dark Night In Luton 22.8.2013

Looking at the eventual set list played, I do wonder why I bother spending the hours researching bands, the hours listening to the music and compiling into a half decent order, only to have only half a dozen people show up to listen. In the end, I scrapped most of what I was due to play as it just seemed a waste to fall on deaf ears.

Guest DJ Blackult played an interesting 30 minute to kick off the night, yet disappointingly, only a couple turned out to support him. So when I say that the night was 'intimate', this time I really meant it. Even the original hardcore element seems to have dispersed, and I'm constantly seeing an average of 80+ people not even bothering to answer their invites anymore.

Still, enough moaning and thanks to the few that did show up and stay for the duration. Highlights for me were the Gary Numan and the rediscovered Garden of Delight song. Sounded amazing, even on The George IInds PA!!
