How Soon Is Now - 22.2.2019

First off, many thanks to all that helped share the event and invite friends via Facebook. I do believe it actually made a (slight) difference with various people I'd ordinarily not see out at my nights, although the "interested" list proved its usual failure again! Anyway, a full-on indie selection was originally planned, but with two friends birthdays in the mix, especially Ralphs 50th, it was always going to be a hit-and-miss night musically, and with the recent nightmare of the big crash the week before, I must say the night was a tentative one for me throughout. Thankfully, the night ran smoothly, with a good range of requests, apart from the odd arsehole, but that's the joys of playing to the public! Also a shame to see a lack of people helping support the birthday bunnies, but I guess that's the way things are going these days.

So many thanks for those that did venture out and help the night go well, and of course thanks to Russ for the sound tweaking, and Maureen for the roadie duties! As for me, I'm taking a bit of a DJ rest for some much needed self indulgence so keep an eye out for the April Bank holiday 80s night. (The event page is already live btw, so you don't need to wait for me to invite you!)
