Dark Night In Luton 19.2.2015

With Lutons beer festival basically stripping the pub of all its patrons this time last year, I had already assumed I was in for another quiet one. Luckily, this was not the case, and would probably say it was the busiest night we've has so far, with a nice group of friends that I haven't seen for a while (school people so half term really counts!) and a good passing trade crowd, all staying (and most importantly, not complaining about the music being offered up!) So thanks very much to all those that supported.

Dark Night In Luton with guest DJ Uncle Filthy - 12.2.2015

I don't think I could of asked for a better night. Ralph & I were both very tired, but once the music started to flow, and the people started to arrive, there was just no stopping us. The amounts of compliments we received and that lovely expression "I haven't heard this for years" really makes my night knowing that we've rekindled some musical gem from somebodies past. Just perfect, and it almost makes me feel sorry for those that weren't there - almost! Oh and R.I.P. Steve Strange.

Good to see a few more people from the group out last night, although for some reason, I just couldn't get into the spirit of the night. Not much in the way of passing trade until the 11.30pm crowd arrived, and then I started to get into it - typical! Still, some good tunes aired, especially the new Psychic TV track which seemed to go down well. Next week I expect to be more raucous!!

Dark (Psych) Night In Luton 29.1.2015

The last January show already, and what a great night it was. I'd probably say it was the most successful 'psych' night we've done to date, although for a January all round, its been a very successful month in my opinion. Still no luck with the promised projector, but a mini light show ensured an atmos worthy of the night, and the widest possible mix of music imaginable. Good mix of trade, although I'm not really sure that some of the later clientele asking for 'Metallica' and 'Disturbed' really understood what was happening! So many thanks to those from the group that supported the night, and if the small flurry of snow kept you at home, then know that you missed a great show!

Dark Night In Luton 22.1.2015

Oh January - how you taunt me! This night was one that I could of easily just stayed on the sofa and dozed off without a care in the world, but as it was one of our regulars birthday, I forced myself out and headed slowly to the pub, and in the end, I'm so glad I did. As boisterous as the music was intended, we certainly had the crowd to match, and both fed off each other throughout the night and I couldn't of asked for a better ending to what I thought was going to be a quiet one!!
