Definitely one of the better nights, especially considering the heat. A great atmos all night, with me playing till midnight (always a good sign) and I'm sure I would of continued if I wasn't so drained!! More new friends, and a surprise visit from Gordon & Jodi from Guildford. Happy days.

Dark Night In Luton's 'Top Of The Pops' Special 4.7.2013

A good start with a healthy turn out, although in reality, that was down to passing trade and nothing to do with the support that is meant to be the 70+ strong according to the 'Likes' on the Facebook group page.

Considering there were, on the last count, approx. 1600 views of this event, I really can't understand why the pub wasn't packed to the hilt!!!

Regardless, those that were lucky enough to be there had a great night, and although my original playlist was trying to avoid too much cheese, you all seem to have better ideas! Plenty of great requests, and it was refreshing to have such great interaction for a change which kept me playing till way after midnight, so a very BIG thank you to those friends that did make the effort, especially to those that travelled to be with us.

Anyway, back to normal next week, where I'll be avoiding the 80s like the plague, but off course there will still  be plenty of great tunes to be hear, so get off your arses and come enjoy yourself before it's too late!!!!

Following on from the previous nights Peter Murphy/Bauhaus gig, I have to admit I was totally knackered and in no mood to go anywhere, but the night has become so much fun recently, how could I say no!!

Once again, I ventured out with no expectations and was pleasantly surprised with the turn out. A decent early crowd which really lifts my spirits, although I must admit to being pretty distracted due to catching up with friends than concentrating on mixing the music!! Still, if anybody did actually notice the new Eden House and Skinny Puppy tracks I were playing, I would be surprised!

Dark Night In Luton's The Cult Special 6.6.2013

OK, well if your idea of heaven is 4 solid hours of music from Ian Astbury & The Cult, then last night at The George IInd was definitely the place to be. Mixing up music from early Southern Death Cult, through to Death Cult, then into The Cult, Holy Barbarians and other side projects, we spent the night with good friends, getting down to some very cool music, majorly more rockier than I usually play at a Dark Night! Still, it was good to exercise the speakers, although my head hurts somewhat today!!

As per usual, a very big thanks to all that supported the night and kept me out till the wee small hours!!
