Dark Night In Luton - 20.6.2013

Following on from the previous nights Peter Murphy/Bauhaus gig, I have to admit I was totally knackered and in no mood to go anywhere, but the night has become so much fun recently, how could I say no!!

Anyway, we had a good steady flow of support and some friendly passing trade, whom are the only ones that seem to make requests oddly enough, and as usual, a good chance to catch up with friends and meet new people. Once again, I ventured out with no expectations and was pleasantly surprised with the turn out. A decent early crowd which really lifts my spirits, although I must admit to being pretty distracted due to catching up with friends than concentrating on mixing the music!! Still, if anybody did actually notice the new Eden House and Skinny Puppy tracks I were playing, I would be surprised!

Dark Night In Luton's The Cult Special 6.6.2013

OK, well if your idea of heaven is 4 solid hours of music from Ian Astbury & The Cult, then last night at The George IInd was definitely the place to be. Mixing up music from early Southern Death Cult, through to Death Cult, then into The Cult, Holy Barbarians and other side projects, we spent the night with good friends, getting down to some very cool music, majorly more rockier than I usually play at a Dark Night! Still, it was good to exercise the speakers, although my head hurts somewhat today!!

As per usual, a very big thanks to all that supported the night and kept me out till the wee small hours!!

Not the busiest of nights, so thank (insert deity of your choice) for the hard-core - what would I do without you! Seems that the dreaded common cold has struck various people, and having only just got over my last one, I can totally sympathise and don't blame you for not venturing out.

Dark Night In Luton 16.05.2013

Originally, I was going to state that I was expecting only a very small of support, being that the announcement for the night to go weekly was but two days previous, but luckily this was not to be the case, with probably one of the busiest nights since the last bank holiday!!

Anyway, after a shakey start, with the discovery that some clever chap had taken a pair of leads from the back of the uni...t, thus throwing me in a living hell for 15 minutes whilst trying to figure out why I had no sound (always check the obvious first!), all went extremely well and we all had a brilliant night, not actually finishing till midnight again.

So a very big thanks to everybody that showed up, and I hope to see you all again next week (23rd.)
